When You Learn How You Learn, You Can Learn Anything

I heard this in a talk once. Someone said, “When you learn how you learn, you can learn anything.” Wow.

I started thinking about the things I’ve actually learned well—the stuff I’m good at. It’s a combination of repetition and experience, but the biggest thing is motivation. I have to want to learn something to dedicate the time and energy and get through the “sticky” frustration point.

I’ve learned a few things over the years. I don’t need to recreate things all the time when good sources already exist. My initial thought for this post was to list a few applicable articles and videos, but in this instance, that feels like too much. If you’re motivated, you’ll go find them. This is your spark.

And with that, I can have another fabulous week in retirement.
