Time for Different?

Around this time twelve years ago, I set out to start a blog. I gave myself two months, and in July 2014, I published my first post. A lot has changed since then. The most popular blogging platform today didn’t even exist back in 2014. Meanwhile, the platform that dominated blogging at the time—WordPress—is now the most popular website platform.

Change.

How do you know when it’s time to change, to take a different direction? Maybe a clue is when everything else has changed. The thing is, how often do we pause to consider this?

For instance, imagine a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. Does that mean your body, style, or needs have changed? One of the pandemic activities was clearing things out and organizing—useful at the time—but that was six years ago. Is it time to do it again?

Sometimes it’s basic. I don’t have a car in Boston; I walk for transportation, and that requires a different type of footwear. Every now and then, there’s a pause to consider what is working and what’s not.

Maybe this is a good time to pause and evaluate. For me, I think it’s time for a transformation.
