What’s an Ordinary Week in Retirement?

When I said I was moving to Boston, more often than not the first reaction was, “You know it gets cold there.”

I chose Boston for other reasons: lectures, music, theater, art, museums, and libraries. A city where there is always something to learn, hear, or see felt like the right place to land.

All day today I felt tired from the time change and the lost hour of sleep—but maybe, just maybe, I was simply trying to do a little too much. Here are the highlights.

Monday: Puzzling Perfection: Reminiscing About Edward Gorey @ The Boston Athenaeum. I’d always thought of Gorey as this tall lean slouching figure from his art and animations. Nope, not true.
Tuesday: Live Streaming the Paris Runaway Debut of Chloe Hudson
It was wake up early and be on a text chat with her mother and cousins as we noxiously awaited her debut kind of day.
Wednesday Winteractive – This yearly series bring art installations to downtown Boston for those cold winter months as an incentive to explore downtown. A special edition of the Downtown walking tour of art exhibits for those of us who live downtown.
Thursday: GBH Amplifies with Jimmy Hills at the Boston Public Library News Feed Cafe and another walk through BPL’s current exhibit,
Revolution! 250 Years of Art & Activism in Boston
Friday: Ate at Wink & Nod Speakeasy Culinary Pop Up
Saturday: Taught Yoga @ The Museum of African American History
Sunday: Went to Vivo Concert – Sullivan Fortner Trio
