Musing on One Shoe at a Time

What shoe do you put on first? As we went around the room, the first person said I don’t know, I think the right one. The second said, I’m not certain, the right one. The third person responded which ever shoe I grab first. When they got to me, I knew with absolute certainty, I put on my left first. While my gut reaction was right, as I closed my eyes and visualized, it’s the left and always the left. I read left to right, I type left to right, I put on my shoes left to right.

On this last day of summer or as I like to call it, Earth Wind and Fire Day, I wonder, how much do we know with certainty about ourselves? Are people really putting the right shoe on first? Maybe it varies? Answer three made the most sense, which ever one I pick up first. This is why it is call musings, it’s not an earthshaking question.
